ummer began, the new school year started yesterday. That is the joy of year round schools! Two weeks break between the school years. Alec is now in fourth grade and Madison started first grade. Her backpack is almost as big as she is! She was so excited about going to school all day and eating in the lunch room. The picture below is her at her new desk. i know, i can't beleive they're in first grade either.... :( :) such big kids. what is that park you went to? it looks fun!
A quiet house? Wow, no whining until it's homework time. That sounds wonderful. The children are getting so big!
Reading this makes me realize I have one more school year of homeschooling in Mexico before we get to come home to happy first-day-of-school experiences like this. I've enjoyed homeschooling (well most of the time anyway) but I'm like you where I look forward to some peace and quiet in the home that doesn't entail me staying up until 1 am to get it.
