July 4th

We spent the weekend up in Loveland at Greg's dad's house. On Saturday, we went to Fort Collins to ride the trolly that goes through town. The trolly was built in 1911, so it was fun to let the kids see how people traveled in the old days.

After the ride, we went to some festivities that they were having. One attraction was a petting zoo. I really think petting zoos are disgusting, but Madison begged to go and so I reluctantly gave in. There were some really weird animals, including this goat with one horn missing and a huge turtle that really didn't want to be petted by all the kids.

We weren't sure if there would be any fireworks because of the pouring rain, but as the evening came, the rain stopped and a hige rainbow appeared. We watched the fireworks in Loveland and they were pretty good. It was a great weekend!
